PEN® was transformed to give visibility to a new emergent movement of new wine producers of Navarra, asserting the centenary grenache variety in the Neu! Event. An event that brought together Euskadi’s hospitality sector’s most prominent restaurants, sommeliers, and professionals.
Montejurra’s south and north slopes, foothills of the Iberian system, Ribera, Tierra Estrella, Baja Montaña, Valdizarbe, Cuenca de Pamplona – Iruña or Sonsierra Navarra make up a puzzle of landscapes, climates, architecture, and very different textures. The richness and diversity, along with the recovery of a historical variety such as grenache as well as nuances between styles and tastes of these small producers offer a contemporary photography of the mosaic that Navarra once was.
