The PEN® Space is the architectonic result of a series of artisanal processes and traditional techniques: its interior structures are made of HEMP and its bamboo ceilings are covered with Quiklime. The floors made of alabaster plaster and laster of Paris support a very marked structure of beams with imposing cedar parts. The project materializes a fundamental principle championed by Pensando en blanco when it comes to creating spaces and habitats: to accomplish harmony based on the balance between the materials’ honesty and tangibility.
Handmade elements are naturally shaped with soil, rocks, and a great variety of plants; they grow and decompose gradually together creating a modest and discreet aesthetic that, alive and in motion, covers the construction’s green ceiling.
